A Doula?

A doula recognizes that women have the power to birth and assists the mother in accessing her own power to birth her baby, providing emotional support, physical comfort measures, advocacy for the birthing family. Doulas provide the information a woman and her family need to make empowered decisions throughout her pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

Doulas are highly trained and experienced in providing support for birthing mothers. Doulas are experts in the process of pregnancy and birth and strive to help the birthing mother have a positive experience with her process with the incredible, life-changing experience of birthing a new being.
