Homebirth is an exceptional option for healthy, low-risk pregnancies. Mothers laboring and birthing at home enjoy the comforting familiarity and flow of their own home. The expecting parents are completely involved with all the decisions made during the prenatal time and in the birthing and postpartum process. The family's privacy and wishes are completely respected. Homebirth is family-centered, full of love and so very gentle on mama, baby and the whole family.
I believe birth is a normal, healthy and sacred process. I believe the birthing process works best when allowed to unfold without interventions in an unhindered way. I care for women with a complete trust in birth, and a watchful eye for any deviations from the norm. I believe that it is best when parents make the informed decisions regarding their pregnancy, birth and postpartum, as well as the care of their child. Care with midwives at home is an excellent and safe choice for a satisfying birth experience. Midwives are experts in normal birth. Serving women birthing at home, I am available for full midwifery care working with my experienced mentor midwife.
Homebirth Package Includes:
Comprehensive prenatal care, including:
~Prenatal visits every four weeks until 28 weeks of pregnancy, every two weeks from 28 to 36 weeks, and weekly from 36 weeks until the birth
~Home visit at 36 weeks
~24 hour availability by email and/or phone for midwifery emergencies/concerns
~Nutritional counseling
~Lending library of books, DVDs and other materials
~Referrals to complementary health providers and community resources
~Private childbirth education classes
Midwives at your homebirth for:
~Continuous labor support in your home when labor is established, as well as support anytime during your process
~Midwifery care during labor, birth & immediate postpartum until mother and baby are settled. (minimum 2 hours) Including monitoring of mother and baby. ~Newborn Exam
~Water birth, if desired
~Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)
Postpartum care for mother & baby including:
~Postpartum and well baby visits during the first two weeks at your home
~Additional visit at 3 and 6 weeks.
~Breastfeeding support
~Placenta Encapsulation
