Join us as we adventure out into the calm, warm deep blue of the Kona waters to commune with the ancient wise ones, the Kohola: the Humpback whales and the joyful, playful Nai'a: the Hawaiian Spinner dolphins. We have also been blessed to see and/or swim with whale sharks, manta rays, spotted dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, pilot whales. eagle rays, honus (Hawaiian green sea turtles), oceanic white tip sharks. monk seals and many species of rainbow-colored fish.
The intention of these journeys is to experience the Humpback Whales. When I am near my beloved amakua, the Humpback whales I am close to the Divine. I want to share that bliss with you. How each human connects with the cetacean nation is unique yet it is indescribably incredible for all who experience it. The healing and joy that comes from being with the cetaceans is beyond measure and we are so very blessed to be in their sacred presence. On past trips we have listened to their song so loudly in the water, it vibrated through-out every cell of our being and as one participant said, "Rearranged our DNA."
We have witnessed mamas and babies swimming gently together, the babies often quite curious, whales breeching, tail slapping and slapping their pectoral fins and even spy-hopping! We have seen competition pods of males competing for a single female. Sometimes we even witness the humpbacks and dolphins swimming together! Every journey is epic, unique, exciting and beyond amazing!
The journeys begin at 7:45 in the morning with a sacred circle to set our loving intention and pray for peace and the healing of the oceans. There is also a de-briefing and info check-in where we go over the protocol of how to be respectful in the ocean . We board the boat and out we go into the magical deep blue under the delicious Kona sunshine! There are plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel and free-dive as our experienced captain brings us to the most magical spots along the Kona coast! We are pau between 12-1 pm.
Snorkel gear is available for free, or bring your own! Bring water, snacks, sun hat, towel, bathing suit, reef-safe sunscreen and anything else to make your experience amazing. There is a cooler for your use on board. There is also a hot shower and a head (toilet) on board.
