Just above Kealakekua Bay in South Kona, where the dolphins play, is a gorgeous sanctuary that is available for you to give birth. For those desiring midwifery care, but would like to birth away from their own home, this birthing suite is available by the night or the week for your labor, birth and postpartum. Located on sacred ancient Hawaiian land, the space is beautifully decorated with Balinese furnishings and art, with a queen size bed as well as a twin, a private bathroom with jazuzzi and full use of the large, breezy, ocean-view kitchen, living room, and dining area. 5+ acres to walk and explore in early labor, as well as the Kealakekua Bay (a 10 minute walk or 4 minute drive) to swim in. The birds sing and coo and the energy is calm and peaceful. Labor and birth surrounded by your loving midwife and birth team as the sun sets before you and the plumeria blossoms waft sweetly in the ocean breeze...meet your baby for the first time in our deep birthing tub on the private lanai overlooking the Bay with the powerful "Pali" (Hawaiian for "cliff") on the right and to the left, sweeping coastline views.
