herbal medicine making workshops
I will be offering two workshops in March in Eugene Oregon on Herbal Medicine Making and Natural Healing for Pregnancy, Birth and Early Childhood
We will be learning about how to make herbal tinctures, acetums (vinegar tinctures), herbal oils and tea blends. At each class we will handcraft herbal medicine and everyone will bring home a jar of each medicine. The first class will focus on Pregnancy, Labor and Postpartum, and the second class will focus on Newborn Care and Child Health.
March 3, 2012: Pregnancy, Labor and Postpartum:

Pregnancy Tea, Herbal Iron Tincture, Gentle Birth Tincture, AfterPain Ease Tincture.
You will also learn about:
Herbal Healing of the Postpartum Perineum
Placenta Encapsulation

March 10, 2012: Newborn Care and Child Health:
You will learn about, how to create and bring home:
Herbal Baby Bath, Calm Baby Tincture, Baby Healing Oil, Healthy Winter Cordial.
You will also learn about:
The Lotus Birth
Infant Massage

About the Teacher:
Darby has been gratefully utilizing the healing power of plants, wildcrafting and growing medicinal plants and crafting herbal medicine since 1994. She has been serving birthing women since 2001 in Eugene and Portland, Oregon, Big Island, Hawaii, Cuernavaca, Mexico, Kerala, India, El Paso, Texas and an Amish community in Wisconsin. She is also a Waldorf-certified early childhood teacher and mother of 2 boys, ages 8 and 16.
